Ways to Give

There are several ways you can support Green Lake Lutheran Ministries.

Automated giving allows donors to make an impacting gift each year, a little each month.  Participants elect to have a set amount (example: $10) electronically transferred monthly from their checking or savings account to GLLM's through Vanco Services and Thrivent Financial for Lutheran's Simply Giving Program.

"Since we have reached our retired phase of our life journey, the time was right to make a faith statement to our children that there is a tremendous joy in being able to give to our favorite charities. Since Green Lake Lutheran Ministires has had an impact on our family with opportunities for hearing the good news of Jesus Christ, making many loving frienships across Minnesota, and times of laughter and fun, it was a giving privilage to support the camp's ministry with a gift to the Endowment Fund. Giving is a privilege, and it is our way of saying thank you to God for the gift of outdoor minstries."  --Tom & Phyllis Jacobson

Gifts given to the Scholarship Fund benefit campers and retreat guests that would not have the opportunity to experience the life-changing love of Jesus through camps and retreats without financial assistance. Last year $13,000 was dispersed allowing 80+ campers and guests the opportunity to experience God’s promise while at camp.  Besides monetary donations, GLLM offers several other giving opportunities!

What is Thrivent Action Teams?
Thrivent Action Teams encourage people to support an event or cause by living generously in their community. Maybe you want to raise money to help send kids to camp this summer. You could but together an Action Team by using the $250 to advertise and buy supplies for a bake sale. Volunteers would provide the treats and work at the event. The community would purchase the goodies with proceeds going towards camper fees. Another option might be to use the Action Team funds to purchase First Aid supplies for the summer. Volunteers would shop for the supplies and assemble the First Aid kits.

How do I set up an Action Team
Check with the GLLM staff about the needs of the ministry; bring your ideas or select one of ours. Once the project is approved by GLLM apply at Once your application has been approved Thrivent will send you a box of promotional supplies, volunteer t-shirts, and a $250 credit card to purchase supplies for the project. Gather your volunteers and complete the project. Finally, report back to Thrivent on the success of your project. Thrivent members can apply to lead two Action Teams per year, while associate members can apply once per year.
